S1 have been engaging in a wide variety of functional numeracy activities to develop their awareness of money. At individual levels, pupils have been:
1) Discussing the value of money, ways it could be spent, saved and kept safe.
2) Developing an understanding of relationships between coins (up to £1 and £2) and notes (£5 and £10).
3) Using mathematical language to talk about their work and carry out money investigations.
