There was lots of learning happening when J6 experiemented with baking soda and vinegar to blow up a baloon.
We filled up a bottle with vinegar, added baking soda and quickly attached the baloon...
Have a look at what happened....
The baking soda combined with the oxygen to create carbon dioxide gas and as it couldn’t escape it began to inflate our baloon.
To extend the learning we also tried to inflate the baloon using effervescent denture tablets and vitamin c tablets.
