Australia Here We Come
We have packed our suitcases and are ready to board onto the plane for our journey to Australia. We gave our plane tickets to the air hostess and then we boarded onto the plane. We watched our plane taking off, flying through the sky and landing on the ground on the Interactive White Board while enjoying some on board snacks.
When we arrived in Australia we looked at the Australian map and now we understand why it's called 'The Land Down Under'. We then used our scenes to explore the 'land down under' by:-
Using our ears to listen and dance to a popular Australian song called 'Walzing Matilda'.
We used our nose to smell 'eucalyptus oil'. It is a popular tree grown in Australia.
We used our hands to touch some Australian teddy bear animals i.e. a kangaroo and a koala bear. To explore the Great Barrier Reef we looked at the creatures and fish that live under the sea. We then put the fish and creatures into water and soft spaghetti for a real sensory experience.
We used our mouth to taste marmite which is a popular Australia food.
It was a great 'Australian' sensory experience.
