The factsheets, articles and tips for parents will help keep children safe during lockdown, as restrictions start to ease and beyond.
They also pointed out a few tips on Road Safety
As traffic starts to build up again now lockdown is easing here are a few simple rules that families can follow to keep children safe:
Pedestrians
- Show young children you are serious about holding their hand once near a road
- It's helpful to set a good example before you step off the pavement
Cycling
- The simplest way to protect children(and yourself) is to wear a helmet every time, even if it is just a quick cycle around the block or down to the park
Driving
- It is so worth slowing down in built up areas where you see children playing- it only takes a moment to take a life.
In cars
- Remember to use the right car seat or booster seat for your child's height and weight.
