Cookery in S3.

S3 pupils have been making some lovely snacks and meals in their cookery lessons. They have made a variety of snacks including scrambled eggs on toast, hot dogs, pancakes and fruit salad. They have also made a variety of meals including apple crumble and custard, chocolate pear pudding, spaghetti bolognese, chicken pasta, and sausage and bean pie.

Here are a few photographs showing the pupils practising lots of skills including cutting fruit, weighing ingredients using digital scales, working with pastry, grating cheese, sieving and beating up a mixture. As well as these skills, there were many more perfected, including turn-taking, fine motor skills and the ability to focus and concentrate and to experience sensory cookery.
