S1 have been very busy learning about the fruits and vegetables harvested in Autumn. Everyone has been working very well and we are so proud of all the new tastes, smells and textures the boys and girls in S1 have been trying. Our topic has focused on how fruits and vegetables are harvested. We have also explored why our food is harvested in Autumn. Together we have looked at how fruit and vegetables can keep us healthy and why it’s important to include them in our diets. S1 used their brilliant culinary skills to create fruit smoothies from the harvested fruit they have been exploring. The pupils washed, prepared and cut the fruits for the delicious fruit smoothie. Everyone was brilliant at trying some of the smoothie!
