During our topic; ‘Home Sweet Home’ pupils had the opportunity to explore where they lived, the different features of homes, building materials, types of homes and rooms within the home. Through play based learning and environmental visits, the pupils in J1 enjoyed exploring the features of homes and using 2D and 3D shape to create different types of homes. They enjoyed visiting Killymoon castle and listening to the sensory story of the ‘Three Pigs’ and exploring the different building materials used by the three pigs.
