Handa put 7 delicious fruits into a basket to take to her friend Akeyo. In J8 we listened to the story of Handa's Surprise. We used our senses to explore how the 7 delicious (or not so delicious) fruits smelled, tasted and felt. This story was an excellent learning opportunty for all the pupils to discover what life is like in another country - Africa. We listened to African music during our tacpac session. We created our own representation of some African wildlife and even got our photos taken in front of the green screen to make it look like we had travelled all the way there!
