J6 are loving their new 'World Around Us' topic- 'Mini Beasts'.
Each week we are looking at a different mini beast
We are learning that
- There are many different types of mini beasts
- Mini beasts are living things
- Living things can be sorted into plants and animals
- Living things need food/water to survive
Our first mini beast was the caterpillar. We purchased our own butterfly kit from 'insect lore' and ordered a cup of 5 tiny caterpillars which we are closely watching and observing everyday.
