January to March has been very busy in J8. Our topic was Bright Sparks. We enjoyed learning about the sun, the source of all energy and the brightest object in the sky. We learnt about all the planets in the solar system and had fun making lots of sensory art for a large wall display. We learnt about electricity and had fun using snap circuits. We were able to follow instructions to build circuits to make lights, buzzers and fans work.
We recently started Forest Schools and are really enjoying it. We go out in all weathers but enjoy it most when the sun is shining! J8 have built dens, made paint, went on colour hunts and learnt how to use a Kelly Kettle. We enjoyed a treat of warm juice around the camp fire! Everyone is looking forward to finding out what we will be doing in our next few sessions.
