Our topic is the BFG and we found it very exciting that the BFG made magical potions. We thought we would like to make our very own magic potions, so we decided to be scientists.
We put on our safety clothes first and understood the importance of wearing lab coats to protect our clothes and safety glasses to protect our eyes.
We carried out our experiment by taking turns measuring out the ingredients using measuring scales. We enjoyed mixing the baking soda, food colouring and vinegar altogether into the large beaker. We were so excited and tried to predict what happens next.
Right away we noticed the changes. Caleb said it's "popping" and Cliodhna said it's 'fizzy'. Matthew said "it's spilt all over the table". We enjoyed anazlying the results of the chemical experiment and could notice the changes straight away. We are so happy we got to make our own colourful magic potions. It was great fun.
