Learning through play - We're Going on a Bear Hunt.

Using the playdough we were able to make a cave and some of us even made our own playdough bears.

In construction we used the wooden blocks to make the tall trees in the big, dark forest and we discovered how to make different types of bridges for the bears to cross the river.

Our water play was focused around the deep, cold river where we used the small world figures to jump and splash in the water, we counted and ordered the number pebbles and some of us even found fish.

We took turns rolling the story cube and then used our hands or a paint brush to make marks in the dry sand to represent the different parts of the story.

To finish the topic we made bear sandwiches using chocolate spread, chocolate buttons and bananas.
