J3 pupils have had a great first month settling into our new classroom. We have been busy getting to know each other and engaging in new learning experiences in our autumn topic- ‘A walk into Autumn!! In play we have been making apple pie, creating habitats for woodland animals we might see in the autumn and crunching through the leaves in our autumn themed role play area. We are all budding artists and have been busy making lots of art for school corridor displays and classroom displays. It has also been wonderful to put on our wellies and experience autumn outside the classroom with trips to Springhill and an Apple Orchard nearby to collect apples and take them back to class. Play has also given us the chance to strengthen and develop our skills in numeracy and literacy as some of the photos will illustrate.
