We listened to the story of ‘The Little Red Hen’ and the pupils had the opportunity to experience making and tasting bread in class. Everyone enjoyed helping to mix the ingredients and knead the bread dough. We had to leave our bread dough for a short time before putting it in the oven and were amazed at how it doubled in size. Our bread smelt and tasted delicious when it was baked. The pupils in J2 were all keen to get involved and help in the making of our bread unlike the lazy animals from ‘The Little Red Hen’ story we read about in class.
