S2's and S3's Annual Coffee Morning for the N. Ireland Hospice
The pupils from classes S2 and S3 hosted another very successful Coffee Morning for the N. Ireland Hospice on Wednesday 4th October. The pupils helped organise the event and this included making posters before the event to inform everyone about it, and sending invitations to all staff and classes in the school. It also involved getting the room set up, making table arrangements, arranging crockery, folding napkins and supplying the cakes and tray bakes. The pupils also helped to serve the tea, coffee and juice and looked after everyone extremely well. They also helped with the dishes and helped tidy up afterwards.
The older pupils showed a real empathy for the younger pupils and were at hand to help wherever they were needed. It was a delight to see and a wonderful opportunity for confidence building and the development of Life Skills.
We raised a grand total of £368.10, which pupils from S2 lodged in the bank. The money will be used to help care for patients across N. Ireland, who need hospice support.
We are all so proud of our pupils who did a wonderful job, with such enthusiasm and zest. They are real stars!
Well Done to all the pupils in classes S2 and S3 for doing such a terrific job!
