Part of our daily morning routine is to participate in a sensory wake up session. We develop our attention skills through engaging all of our senses. We have a unique poem for each day of the week, representing a colour, a tactile experience, a smell, a sound and a style of music, and a taste. This helps us to have a daily sensory reference point to help support our processing and regulation. We all love sensory wake up and pupils are progressing with engagement, anticipation, memory function, turn taking and communication skills.
