This term J1 have been exploring our topic 'The Little Red Hen' and the season of Autumn. Within 'The Little Red Hen' we focused on the main animals in the story which were hen, cat, mouse and a pig. Each morning through Play Based Learning the children had opportunities to create artwork focused on our topic. Together as a class we created a beautiful display showcasing our artistic talents.
J1 enjoyed our Pumpkin Patch weighing, ordering and exploring pumpkins in our role play area . In our numeracy we explored heavy and light objects and how this would look using measuring scales. J1 have loved getting outside to explore the Autumn changes. Through sensory walks and reading stories together as a class in the outdoor classroom, the boys and girls have loved developing their topic experiences outside.
