In J4 we had lots of fun on World Book Day. We all dressed up as our favourite characters and focused on our theme- Heroes, Villains and Princesses. We shared stories together and some children completed independent reading. We have been working very hard on our classroom door display in preparation for our World Book Day door competition. We selected one of our favourite books, A Squash and A Squeeze which fits in with our new topic, Where My Wellies Take Me. We went on a tour around the school to have a look at the classroom doors and select our favourite door we wanted to vote for. We enjoyed our World Book Day assembly and getting to parade around the hall to show off our wonderful costumes. After this it was time to search for the superheroes, villains and princesses that were hidden in our school sensory garden. We enjoyed taking green screen photos in our costumes. Finally we finished our day celebrating our friends birthday with some cake and delicious treats.
