The pupils enjoyed exploring space as part of our Disney Adventures topic. We started by watching parts of the movie ‘Toy Story’ and talked about where the character Buzz Lightyear came from.
To begin with we used our KWL (what we already know; what we want to know; what we will be learning) board to find out what the pupils already knew about space, what they wanted to know and at the end we discussed what we found out throughout the topic. We had a short video which was used as a stimulus for the sub topic. The international space station fell into our playground and we found some space themed items. The pupils were very excited to go outside and explore all the items that were left on the grass.
